School of Physics & Electronic Engineering

       The School of Physics and Electronic Engineering has developed from Physics Department, which was founded in 1975. The School has 3 undergraduate disciplines and one discipline for professional training, which are Physics, Electronic Information Engineering, Applied Physics, and Applied Electronic Technology. The School has 5 teaching and researching sections and three laboratories. They are Thermodynamics Section, Photo-electricity Section, Electronic Technology Section, Automatic Control Section, Experimental Section, Fundamental Skill Laboratory, Physics Laboratory and Electronic Information Engineering Laboratory. So far nearly 1000 full-time students are studying at the school.

        The School has a team of 54 high-quality faculty and staff members, and more than 30 of them have been conferred a Doctorate or Master¡¯s degree, and are engaging in the study of Doctoral or Master¡¯s degree programs, 22 of them are professors or associate professors, including 3 supervisors of master candidates, and 18 lecturers.

        The School has made great efforts to improve its teaching quality and strengthen its academic exchange and scientific research work. Since 1995, the School has had or attended more than 30 scientific research projects of provincial level and 22 projects aided by the National Natural Science Fund. In recent years, the faculty and staff members of the School have published more than 300 academic papers, in which most were published in domestic core journals, and composed 6 professional books and textbooks. And the School has won 19 provincial or ministerial scientific research prizes. The School has improved its teaching quality constantly and also made numerous achievements. In recent years, the students have participated in some national competitions and some of them have won prizes in the National University Student Electronic Design Competition. Over 30% of the students have engaged in the study of Master degrees in the other universities upon graduation from the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering.
