Department of Computer Science and Technology
　

         The Department of Computer Science and Technology was founded in 1992. At present, the Department has two undergraduate disciplines, which are Computer Science and Technology, Computer Application and Maintenance. The Department has an institute of Computer Application Technology. In 2000, the Department started to recruit postgraduate in the direction of computer software. By now, over 1000 full-time students are studying at the Department. The Department has a team of 26 highly qualified teachers, among whom, 11 are professors or associate professors, 10 are lectures, and 5 are part-time professors.
　
        The Department has more than 300 computers of different kinds, 2 network systems, 1 figure workstation, 7 laboratories, namely software laboratory, network laboratory, multimedia laboratory, graph and figure disposition laboratory, computer principle laboratory, computer principle laboratory.
　
         The Department has had 2 scientific research projects of national level, 10 projects of provincial level and over 20 projects of municipal level. In recent years, the faculty and staff members of the Department have published 9 profession books and over 300 academic papers. And the Department has won 50 prizes of different level. The Department has actively conducted such activities as offering technological services and organizing students to take part in social practice, and has obtained good social and economic effects. Now the Department has gained notability and nurtured a large number of qualified talented people.
