Department of Fine Arts

      
      The Department of Fine Arts was founded in 1992. Formerly, it was the Public Arts Teaching and Research Section of XYNU. In 1995, it was renamed as the Department of Arts. In 2004, when the university reorganized some of its disciplines, the Department of Fine Arts gained its current name. The Department offers two undergraduate disciplines. They are Fine Arts and Artistic Designing. Currently, over 500 full-time students are studying at the Department.

     The Department has attached great importance to academic exchange and the nurturing and construction of teacher team, thus creating a team of highly qualified teachers, who are very active in doing scientific research. At present, the Department has 23 faculties and staff members, 4 of them are associate professors, and 10 are lecturers. Moreover, 8 well-known painters, calligraphers and professors from other famous universities in China have been invited to work as part-time professors at the Department. The staff members of the Department have had 20 scientific research projects of provincial or municipal level, have published more than 100 academic papers and composed 8 professional books and textbooks. By giving full play to its own advantages, the Department has gained notability and nurtured a large number of highly qualified talents. We believe, with the efforts of all the staff and students, the future of the Department of Fines Arts of XYNU will be more beautiful and more brilliant.
